Flu Defender Can Get You Through Flu Season

We’re in the midst of one of the worst flu seasons in a decade. Although the 2012-2013 flu season had a slow start and is said to be improving, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported more than 5,000 people have been hospitalized due to influenza thus far.

Well, if you’re looking for a remedy, look no further than your smartphone.

Flu Defender, an iPhone application, provides users with flu-prevention strategies and a quiz people can take to make a general assessment about whether or not they need a flu shot. They can also get quick flu facts and find out where vaccinations are administered. In addition to providing news updates from FLU.gov and CDC.gov, users can follow Twitter updates from the federal agency.
