L.A. School System to Give Every Student an iPad

Los Angeles’ school system is ordering iPads for all its students, which will cost the public education system about 30 million dollars. Instead of buying paper textbooks, students will receive e-textbooks on their iPads.

The Los Angeles Board of Education approved the order yesterday. The LA school system has over 640,000 students and the initial order is for more than 31,000 iPads.

Los Angeles will be the largest school district in the nation to provide each student with an iPad.
