Donald Sterling Loses Court Decision

According to USA Today, Donald Sterling has lost the case versus his wife, Shelly Sterling, in his bid to prevent her from selling the Los Angeles Clippers. Judge Michael Levanas handed down an “oral tentative statement decision” affirming Shelly Sterling had the authority to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

“(Shelly Sterling’s) testimony was far and away more credible than Donald,” Levanas said. “Donald’s answers were often evasive and, in one instance, were inconsistent with his previous testimony.”

Although this paves the way for the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to ex-Microsoft executive Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, litigation from Donald Sterling isn’t over. Sterling still has two other suits pending, one contending his wife and Ballmer violated corporate law and the other seeking more than $1 billion in damages from the NBA.
