“We’re so, so happy, said CeCe Olisa. “This conference was made possible by our fans and readers so its the biggest present. We’re just hoping that everyone has a really great time and leaves here feeling amazing”.

According to a statement, the day-long conference brought more than 500 plus size women together with brands, bloggers, and  fashionistas-alike to chat, shop and embrace their curves.

“All of our girls are here and that’s such a wonderful feeling,” said Chasity Garner. “ We couldn’t ask for more”.

Event goers also had the pleasure of participating in workshops discussing style, health, wellness, sex, love and confidence, presented by featured panelists such as Grammy Nominated Singer, Kierra Sheard and notable bloggers Nadia Abouhlson, Gabi Gregg of Gabi Fresh, Sarah Conley of Styleit, Kelsey Miller of Refinery29 and more.

Notable blogger Chante Burkett, was also in attendance. Burkett was recently featured in Target’s body positive ad campaign where she rocked a phenomenal two piece swimsuit with confidence and pride. She says being included in the national ad gave her a platform to represent girls  of color that need to see more relatable images of curvy women.

“They [young black women] need to see somebody just like them. Somebody who has cellulite, who has rolls. Who can still be confident in front of skinny caucasian girls,” said Burkett. “That [the ad] was an amazing experience. to be the only black girl I that ad. It was amazing, I cried every day that we got done shooting and when I saw that they didn’t edit me, I was in tears,” she added.
