Cardo Systems says that it has a solution to a problem that has cell phone users all tied up: their cords. The company has released the allways headset for mobile and PDA phones. BLACK ENTERPRISE tested the Bluetooth version of the allways wireless device. Setup was pain-free and we were able to connect to our Sony Ericsson phone with relative ease. The device runs on a Lithium-Polymer battery and features up to six and a half hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby.
The device is light and easy to use and comes with an ear loop and sunglass clip as well as changeable color designer panels and a carrying case. While the headset performed well, it did not fit in the ear easily. Additionally, we found the numerous pieces cumbersome and the carrying case a tad bulky for our tastes. For those who value function over form, however, the headset is a good option. But if you want functionality and good looks, you might opt for a more streamlined product.
