Dwyane Wade will no longer be wearing Jordan Brand sneakers and apparel.

Wade, who plays guard for the Miami Heat, said on Tuesday that he has parted ways with the brand, which is a staple in the sneaker industry. His contract expired at the end of September and, according to reports, Wade and the brand, which is owned by Nike, came to a mutual agreement not to extend the contract.

Wade, who says Michael Jordan is his idol, said he is “honored to have represented my favorite player of all time and his brand.” Wade has not revealed what shoe he plans to wear when basketball season returns.
