NBC Will Show Thrilling U.S.-Russia Hockey Finish in Primetime

This just in from the around-the-clock PR team for NBC’s Olympic coverage:

Tonight at 8/7c on NBC, relive overtime and the eight-round shootout from Team USA’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Russia in men’s hockey. Al Michaels, who called the “Miracle on Ice” in the 1980 Winter Games, and NBC Sports’ lead hockey play-by-play announcer Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, will join host Meredith Vieira to discuss the dramatic win, highlighted by forward T.J. Oshie, who scored on four of six shootout attempts, and goaltender Jonathan Quick.

It’s a must-see for hockey fans, or for fans who just love a thrilling finish every now and again.

“I kept looking back, seeing if anyone else was going to go,” said Oshie, who scored the game-winner. “I told some of the boys on the last couple, ‘I’m running out of moves out here.’ ”
