Necole Parker, LeVon Lewis and Stacey Key Confirmed for Black Enterprise’s Entrepreneurs Summit


Celebrating 20 years, Black Enterprise’s 2015 Entrepreneurs Summit [ES] continues to bring together the best and brightest of the business world, with the goal of providing a space for innovation, networking, knowledge, and paths to gaining capital. Taking place this year at Atlanta’s Hyatt Regency, May 13-15, those scheduled to attend and share are successes with a wealth of tips to provide. Like Samuel Gilmore, Founder and President of Overnight Success Inc., a company that in 2013, grossed $1.4 million in revenue. Last year, Gilmore won the $200,000 Mission Main Street grant from Chase to further help his construction and supply company. While Necole Parker, who first attended BE’s Entrepreneurs Conference in 2011, runs the ELOCEN Group. As Founder and CEO, Parker’s company provides workflow process solutions within the federal, state, local, and commercial sectors. Featured on the cover of Black Enterprise’s November 2014 issue, ELOCEN’s full-year 2014 projections were $21 million. Both Gilmore and Parker will be part of the Entrepreneurs Summit panel, “Big Fish, Little Fish: Finding Corporate Support for Your Small Business.”

Sharing knowledge on how to operate small and sell big, Stacey Key, President and CEO of Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council has also been confirmed to attend the Entrepreneurs Summit. Conducting a session on “The Corporate Procurement Game: Operate Small; Sell Big,” Key’s company is an advocate for minority owned, small businesses, providing mentoring and connections to major corporations that often lead to large contracts. Last year, Georgia Minority partnered with BE and Walmart for the 20/20 Vision Forum.

Bringing expertise in branding to Atlanta are the CEOs and Co-Founders of branding and marketing company, Pencilworx Design Group. LeVon Lewis and Sherrod Shackelford will share knowledge in a small business success boot camp designed to help entrepreneurs master their brands. Pencilworx has earned more than 45 awards, including the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Technology Firm of the Year and an Atlanta Golden Addy from the American Advertising Federation.

And when it comes to funding, Kim Wales, Founder and CEO of Wales Capital is set to provide secrets to the ES audience during the session, “Crowdfunding & The Art of Asking for Money.” Her company, the Wales group, leads the industry in crowdfunding expertise.
