Jesse Jackson Jr.’s Home Facing Forfeiture

Former Illinois congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.’s troubles are far from over, following his campaign fraud conviction earlier this year.

The Associated Press reports that federal prosecutors on Friday filed a forfeiture motion, naming two homes owned by Jackson and his wife, Sandi. They could lose both of the homes.

The motion was filed days before Jackson and his wife were to be sentenced for Jesse’s personal use of $750,000 in campaign money and Sandi’s attempts to conceal it.

The couple spent the money on a gold-plated Rolex watch, mounted elk heads and fur coats, among a long list of items.
