An arrest has been made in connection with the January explosion that occurred near a Colorado Springs NAACP chapter office.

Police sources say 44-year-old Thaddeus Murphy is being held in custody and is due in court later Friday. So far there are very few details about Murphy and his arrest as a source spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity due to the privacy of certain information.

Last month, black Twitter called out mainstream media for their lack of coverage in regards to an FBI investigation of an explosive device that was detonated against the exterior wall of a Colorado NAACP office building. Fortunately the building, which houses other businesses, faced minor damages and no human injuries occurred. However, nerves were still shaken up about whether the incident was a hate crime due to its proximity to the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.
