Obama Admin Continues Fight on College Sexual Assault Cases

The Obama Administration is committed to preventing the occurrence of sexual assault cases on college campuses across the country and today they launched a new website, NotAlone.gov, to ensure that the public is equipped with the proper resources to do just that.

On the site, students, schools and anyone interested in taking a stand against the issue can find federal guidance on legal obligations, new research and data, as well as hotline numbers and mental health services that can be located by simply typing in a zip code.

In addition to the launch of a new site, Vice President Joe Biden released a new Public Service Announcement today in coordination with the 1 is 2 Many campaign encouraging men to speak up if they see someone in danger of being sexually assaulted. Featured in the new PSA is actor Dulé Hill who states: “One sexual assault is too many. My desire for this PSA is that it will heighten awareness and in turn be a catalyst for more prevention.”

Watch the newly released PSA below featuring President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Dulé Hill and several other actors speaking out in support of combating sexual assault cases.
