Report: President Obama Denied Access to Prestigious Golf Clubs

According to Golf.com, President Obama’s request to play at several New York golf clubs were denied over the Labor Day Weekend. Supposedly, club managers didn’t want to inconvenience their members over Labor Day weekend by shutting down their courses to accommodate the president.

Obama was in town to attend fundraising events in Rhode Island and New York and the wedding of Alex Wagner, an MSNBC host, and White House chef Sam Kass. He returned to Washington D.C. after the fundraising events and flew back the next day to the wedding in New York.

Some of the clubs who turned down the presidential request were: Winged Foot GC in Mamaroneck, N.Y., Trump National GC in Bedminster, N.J., and Willow Ridge CC in Harrison, N.Y.
