The Philadelphia School District announced the closure of 37 schools in 2013, according to Philly.com. But Philadelphia native, rapper Meek Mill, wants to make sure that doesn’t happen to his old high school.
Mill, who was born Robert Williams, has announced that he will donate $10,000 to his alma mater, Strawberry Mansion High School.
The Philadelphia School District hopes to save an estimated $28 million a year with the school closings.
