Get Your Business Ready For Any Disaster With Free SBA Webinar Series

Roughly 40 to 60 percent of small businesses never reopen their doors following a disaster. If you’re not prepared, a disaster could put you and your employees at risk, possibly shutting down your business forever.

Each year, small businesses nationwide are forced to close their doors in the aftermath of severe storms, flooding, tornadoes, wildfires and hurricanes. Business interruptions, even if it lasts just a few hours, are costly in terms of lost productivity and profits.

To help owners with their preparedness planning, the SBA is offering a series of free webinars in September hosted by Agility Recovery. The September series is presented in collaboration with FEMA’s Ready Campaign, as part of National Preparedness Month.

The SBA wants to help business owners take charge of the well-being of their own companies, the safety of their employees, and the sustenance of their local economies by being prepared to rebound quickly from any kind of disaster.

When disaster strikes, having a plan and being able to put it into immediate action can mean the difference between staying open to service the needs of your customers and community or shutting down for a few days.

Following a disaster, statistics show ninety percent of companies fail within a year unless they can resume operations within five days. Having a plan can ensure that you’re back in business quickly and able to provide products and services to your community.

Below is a list of the topics. The hour-long webinars will be presented at 2 p.m. EDT each Wednesday in September.
