Ecommerce retailer Amazon announced today that its Instant Video app is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. Previously, the app was only accessible on the iPad.

The app may give Netflix a run for its money, allowing users to access its library of Instant Video content, which includes over 140,000 movies and television shows for purchase or rental on the Apple mobile devices.

You can download the app for free from the Apple App Store, however, you have to be an Amazon Prime member ($79 with annual member ship fee) to stream the thousands of tiles such as Friday, Goodfellas, and Sparkle. The membership comes with free 2-day shipping.
