For more than 60 years, locals, tourists, and notables alike (including President Barack Obama) have flocked to her New Orleans restaurant, Dooky Chase, to indulge in the signature local fare and catch Chase, 86, who is still a fixture in the kitchen. Chase has worked diligently to give back to the city of New Orleans and serves on the board of the New Orleans Museum of Art.
