42. BMW of the Hudson Valley

BMW of the Hudson Valley is New York’s second largest minority-owned auto dealership. The Poughkeepsie-based company is the largest black-owned BMW dealership in the Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York tri-state area.

Jerry Walton is president of the dealership that has more than 51% black ownership. Up 12 places on the 2009 BE Auto Dealer list, the dealership had $41.1 million in 2008 revenues—down 14.9% from last year.
