On April 29, 2015, Jeffrey Orridge made history as the first African American chief executive of a major North American sports league when he became commissioner of the Canadian Football League. Orridge previously served as executive director of CBS Sports and general manager of the Olympics on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
