Beyoncé is always cooking up something new, and this time it’s actually food. The icon turned wife and mom won’t really be whipping up our meals in her Tribeca kitchen (although that would be amazing), but she is partnering with 22 Days Nutrition to offer a vegan meal delivery service. Mrs. Carter, who once admitted to Piers Morgan that Popeye’s chicken biscuits were her favorite, has seemingly turned a new, much greener leaf.
Once a week, the health food company 22 Days Nutrition will deliver plant-based, “non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and organic” meals to customers, according to Business Insider. Prices range from $9.76 to $16.50 per meal.
Veganism is no new terrain for Beyoncé. In 2013, she and hubby JAY Z dared their fans to join them in their 22-day vegan venture. Though kicking our favorite comfort foods to the curb may seem like a rather large challenge, Queen Bey assures us, “If a Houston-born foodie like me can do it, you can too—you just need to try it for 22 days.” The pop star said Borges is the most energetic person she knows because of his healthy lifestyle and she’s excited about the partnership.
“We all know the importance and value of eating plant-based foods but often times find ourselves trapped in a series of bad habits that sabotage optimum wellness,” Borges said in a statement. “The Vegan Meal Delivery program makes it easier to reset your habits with healthy and delicious plant-based foods.” The world renowned physiologist also has a book, The 22 Day Revolution: The Plant-Based Program That Will Transform Your Body, Reset Your Habits And Change Your Life, set to release April 28, 2015.
Beyoncé’s 22 Days Nutrition vegan delivery service is in perfect time, as she also has an “athleisure” line with Topshop in the works. Her collaborations as of late seem to promote living a healthy lifestyle. Fans can finally get just as “Flawless” as the “XO” singer with healthy meals and fierce workout gear.
