Celebrities, leaders in the beauty industry and professional women gathered recently to support domestic violence awareness at HELP USA Domestic Abuse Women's Shelter in Brooklyn, New York. The event, hosted by <a href="http://www.blackcelebritygiving.com/" target="_blank"><strong>BlackCelebrityGiving.com</strong></a> (BCG) and Sister 2 Sister magazine publisher Jamie Foster Brown, was the first stop in the "Beauty For The Bold" national domestic violence awareness campaign tour.

Women and children who have been victims of domestic violence, were pampered by industry leaders in beauty and cosmetics. The campaign also includes the distribution of care packages for more than 100 domestic violence shelters.
Sister 2 Sister magazine publisher Jamie Foster Brown is the "Beauty For The Bold" campaign ambassador and served as beauty bar host for the kick-off event.
Tashera Simmons, author, reality TV star and ex-wife of recording artist DMX, came out to support the event.
DJ, TV host and pop culture enthusiast<a href="http://www.amandaseales.com/" target="_blank"><strong> Amanda Seales</strong></a> spun tunes for the event.
Through Dec. 2, the 'Beauty for the Bold' campaign will host events, profile inspiring women, and conduct Twitter chats and forums on domestic violence to bring awareness.
