Executive Leadership Foundation Honors Hillary Clinton

On Thursday, Oct. 27, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was honored by The Executive Leadership Foundation in Washington, D.C. Clinton has been a longstanding supporter of diversity, black leadership, and civil rights, and this year she was honored for her global work. In the past, she has helped to provide free legal services for those with low income when in need of assistance, she has protected voting rights, along with chairing the Educational Standards Commission in Arkansas to change the education system so students from low income areas would be able to thrive. After receiving a 96% positive rating by the NAACP, she co-sponsored reinforcing anti-discrimination and equal-pay requirements.

The Executive Leadership Foundation’s goal is to increase the amount of successful black executives and future leaders not only in America, but throughout the world. African American executives seeking help can get support from ELF, which provides assistance to their leadership, development, and philanthropic endeavors. Members of the ELF also aid students, as well with other educational institutions. The theme of this year’s gala was “Going All IN: INsight. INnovation. INspiration.” Other honorees included Rachel Robinson, founder of The Jackie Robinson Foundation and civil rights activist, Debra L. Lee, chairman and CEO of BET Networks, and AT&T Inc.
