We live in a modern society–in our lifetime we’ve seen a Black president, same-sex marriages, and a government overthrow prompted via Facebook.
But there are times when traditional and modern seem to clash, especially when discussing “roles” played by men and women in relation to their careers. Such was the debate in a Black Enterprise meeting this morning, when the team discussed the good, the bad, and the awkward of men who decide to be stay-at-home dads while their wives (whether career-driven or because of other circumstances) support the family. Some saw it as perfectly “normal;” others just couldn’t imagine.
