On September 23, to kick off the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Caucus Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., the Walker’s Legacy held their second annual awards ceremony to recognize powerful women of color who are making positive impacts in business and society.
Named in honor of Madame C.J. Walker, the event honored Admiral Michelle Howard, who is the U.S. Navy’s first female four-star admiral, and Angela T. Rye, Esq., who is the Principal and CEO of Impact Strategies.
Later in the evening, the Walker’s Legacy hosted a roundtable discussion to discuss issues facing women of color in the boardroom and beyond.
