#DrivingInnovation Twitter Chat Highlights the Do’s & Don’ts of Social Media Branding

On Tuesday, February 18th, 2014, Black Enterprise in partnership with Toyota and Aol, hosted its “Innovate or Die!” panel during Social Media Week in New York City, focusing on how to promote your brand with the best practices in the social media landscape.

The panelists included Ramon Ray, Editor and Evangelist for SmallBizTechnology.com, best-selling author Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche from TheBudgetnista.com, and Terrena Carriman, Global Social Media Manager for Avon. The event was moderated by Black Enterprise’s own Chief Content Officer Alfred Edmond, Jr.

All three panelists offered different words of wisdom on the do’s and don’ts of branding with social media.

From keeping your messages positive to keeping your blatant sales pitches to a minimum, every tip was useful and promoted innovative social media strategies to keep your audience engaged with your content and, ultimately, your products.
