Following the nourishment of the body, attendees will then nourish their minds as CEO of Carnival Corporation & Plc, Arnold Donald, offers a master class in playmaking with Black Enterprise President and CEO, Earl “Butch” Graves, Jr.

After hearing from these powerful men it is then time to learn from powerful women, as Pam El (evp & chief marketing officer of the NBA) and Dawn Hudson (chief marketing officer of the NFL) school you on leading like a woman and winning in a man’s world in a discussion moderated by President of the Professional Diversity Network and National Association of Professional Women, Star Jones.

In keeping in the spirit of women leaders CEO of VM365, Rumia Ambrose-Burbank and Co-CEO of Burrell Communications, Fay Ferguson, bring you SistersInc: Strategies for the C-Suite. Hosted by Cigna with moderator Alisa Gumbs, executive managing editor of Black Enterprise, this session will present lessons from the top women BE 100s CEOs on decision-making, risk-taking, leadership development and influence.

Attendees will later enjoy a healthy dose of ‘real talk’ with speakers actress, singer, and author Vanessa Williams, her mom (retired music teacher and author, Helen Williams) and her daughter (singer Jillian Hervey of Lion Babe) as they share an inter-generational conversation about the costs and rewards of taking the road less traveled. Hosted by AARP, this session will explore the keys to attaining success and leaving a legacy using time-tested strategies and new approaches to new dilemmas.

A highlight of the day will be the Don’t Just Embrace Your Power, Embody It! Executive Leadership Session, where speakers Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever (founder of The Exceptional Leadership Institute for Women), Sheila Coates (creator of Be Your Own Brand), Donna Fielding (division vice president, human resources, ADP) and host Harriet Cole (president of Harriet Cole Media and creator of the DreamLeapers Initiative) will help you identify those ‘learned’ behaviors and physical habits that may be selling you short.

The summit concludes this evening with a farewell celebration dinner and concert featuring R&B heartthrob, Johnny Gill, followed by a host of laughs brought to you by the Gangster of Comedy: Capone and the princess of Team Capone, Cookie.
