Many of us consider our homes to be the safest place for our children. But according to Nationwide insurance company’s “Make Safe Happen†campaign, every year, millions of children are injured in and around the home, and tragically, thousands of these children die. Even more alarming, a 2014 Nationwide Preventable Injury Survey of Parents, Beltway Influencers and Business Executives, reported 72% of parents are not aware that unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in children.
