19th Annual Black Enterprise/Pepsi Golf & Tennis Challenge Kicks Off

Let the games begin!

The 2012 Black Enterprise/Pepsi Golf & Tennis Challenge is here! Hundreds of executives, entrepreneurs, artists, socialites, master connectors and more are here in Miami at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience with family, friends, and colleagues.

Black Enterprise is gathering professionals from across the country around two sports that lend themselves to building relationships in business and infusing first class entertainment, professional, and personal development activities sure to enrich the lives of all who partake in the weekend’s offerings. Those who have attended in the past, oftentimes return year after year. Today many will reunite with “affluencers” and others they see the same time each year, some of whom have turned their attendance at the event into a family tradition.

Today, when patrons arrive they can visit the registration desks for their gift bag courtesy of Polo Ralph Lauren and sign up for many of the weekend’s activities including golf and tennis clinics, Spades and Bid Whist tournaments, fitness activities, Chef Challenge, Vision Board Party, and BMW Test Drive. The opening day is sure to have guests geared up for a weekend of leisure, networking, and friendly competition, should they choose to compete for the highly coveted Purple Jackets that go to the Golf & Tennis Challenge winners or one of the other premium prizes.

Tonight, the soigné conference attendees will party to the soulful sounds of Sol Factor at the Purple Reign-themed Welcome Reception. Hosted by the illustrious, Emmy Award-winning entertainer Jackee Harry of 227 and Sister Sister, partygoers are expected to strut and socialize in Royal Purple garb throughout the evening.

Though all do not attend for golf or tennis, many realize the benefits of participating in these sports and have reaped pecuniary gains from capitalizing on the unique opportunities presented at G&T . A number of deals, partnerships and contracts have been negotiated thanks to connections made on the golf course, at the exhibition hall, spa, poolside, and nearly any other place guests meet, greet and exchange information. This year should not be any different.
