Join Chef Huda at the Black Enterprise Empowerment Zone at 12:30pm for Real Men Cook with Chef Huda. The celebrity chef will show festival-goers how to create a quick, delicious, and healthy dish that will leave friends and family impressed.

After you’ve learned how to cook up something divine, head on over to the much anticipated BE Modern Man Panel: Extraordinary is Our Normal. Porter Braswell, CEO of Jopwell, Nehemiah Davis, philanthropist and entrepreneur, and Dondre Whitfield, actor and activist, will discuss reclaiming and reframing the image and definitions of what it means to be black and male–from crisis and victimhood, to celebration and affirmation. Join in on the discussion of black men not as the problem, but as the solution.

There will be something at AAF for the ladies too. At 4:00pm Prudential will host the Ladies that Lead Session where entrepreneur Beverly Johnson, award winning producer Sidra Smith, founder of BluePrint Group, LLC, Tai Beauchamp, and network marketing extraordinaire Jewel Tankard, will share their strategies and journey to success.

Immediately following these sessions it’ll time to play Financial Jeopardy with host Sirita Wright, social media manager at Black Enterprise. Wright will be testing your knowledge of finance, business, money, and all things Black Enterprise. Lucky contestants will compete for bragging rights and prizes. Join in on the fun.

Don’t forget that throughout the day (12:30-5:00pm) there will be giveaways, meet-and greets, and book signings, a photo booth, Men’s Fashion Showcase, and more.

You’re all here for the Empowerment Zone, but of course you’re also interested in AAF performances. Today you can expect a treat with performances by none other than David and Tamela Mann, Demetria Mckinney, Will Downing, Stephanie Mills, Randy Roberts, Steven Drakes, Stephanie Mills, and Battle of the DJs. These performances will be hosted by David Mann, Rev. Jamal Harrison Bryant, Bern Nadette Stanis, and Jewel Tankard.

Check out the Festival Live hub to further engage in the festival’s social media experience. This hub features a twitter wall and live feed of the festival performances, with LVS displays trending hashtags and social media updates. The Health and Wellness Pavilion, Beauty Bar, and Toyota Tech Playground will also be there for you to enjoy.

To follow the AAF events, including speakers, schedules, activities, and locations be sure to download the BE Events app. Available through iTunes or Google Play, this app grants you everything you need to remain in the loop with all things AAF.  You may even use the app to socialize. There’s a cool social media component that allows festival-goers to see what participants are into. Post with the hashtag #BmoreAAF to connect and share your AAF experience.
