Bria Murphy Says, ‘Lots of Girls Get Addicted to Drugs and Anorexia’

Daddy’s little girl has a career of her own now!

Bria Murphy, the daughter of comedian Eddie Murphy, discussed her modeling career on a recent ‘Good Morning America’, ABC News reports. She spoke on her life long dream to model and having to overcome her shyness to do it.

“As I got older, I was like, ‘Bria, you can’t want to model and not want to be out there and be the center of attention. So you’ve got to get over your little fears of putting yourself out there,” the 23-year-old model said.

She also speaks of the demands placed on models and the pressure they face on a daily basis, which leads to eating disorders in order to stay thin.

“I’ve heard of people eating the cotton balls with the orange juice … they dip it in the orange juice and then they eat the cotton balls to help them feel full, because the cotton’s not doing anything. It’s just dissolving. And it makes you think you’re full, but you’re not,” she said.
