Kanye West Premieres Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden

Rap mega star, Kanye West, is not your typical fashion designer. So it should come as no surprise that Yeezy would debut his streetwear-inspired fashion line at one of the biggest arenas in the world.

With more than 15,000 people at New York’s Madison Square Garden and a whopping 20 million people watching via Tidal live stream, West unveiled his collection of oversized sweatshirts, and slim-fitting pants and accessories, while broadcasting tracks from “Life of Pablo,” his latest album.

Those looking for a typical runway show were disappointed. Relaxed, yet bold and unapologetic–best describes Yeezy Season 3. The stage was full of models ranging in ages, races and shapes. Hundreds of models donned rib-knit body suits, over the knee socks, crop tops and military style jackets while standing in position on stage, making no eye contact and no sexy poses. Even fashion icons Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Veronica Webb and Alek Webb played a part in the presentation.
