Get an Online Radio Show

So, you want to become an online radio host. Well, join the club. Online shows are seeing a surge in popularity thanks in part to two heavyweights: Live365.com Internet radio, which features more than 5,000 broadcasters, and BlogTalkRadio.com, which has broadcast more than 72,000 shows since 2006.

After releasing his book, Mode One: Let the Women Know What You’re REALLY Thinking, in 2006, Alan Roger Currie says he received many invitations from both radio and television hosts to discuss his book. “But then, friends began to tell me, ‘You should start your own radio show.’” So he did. Currie hosts two BlogTalkRadio shows offering relationship advice: Upfront & Straightforward with Alan Roger Currie and a podcast series, The Erotic Conversationalist.

Currie says his live listenership is between 150 and 200 people. However, most people download his post-live, archived podcasts–he has “anywhere from 2,500 to 5,000 archived podcast downloads per episode.”
