The Madison Research Corp. (No. 70 on the BE INDUSTRIAL/SERVICE 100 list: with $62 million in sales) was acquired by San Diego-based WFI Government Services Inc. in August for $69 million, subject to certain adjustments. As a result of the procurement, Huntsville, Alabama-based Madison Research will no longer be a minority-owned enterprise. WFI is an independent provider of systems engineering, network services, and technical outsourcing for wireless carriers, enterprise customers, and government agencies.
