All Random House Employees Getting $5000 Holiday Bonus

At its corporate Christmas party last Wednesday night in New York City, Random House chief executive Markus Dohle announced that everyone– from the top editors to warehouse workers– would receive a $5000 bonus this Christmas to celebrate their tremendous profits .

Their huge take-in this year is primarily owed to the astonishing success of E.L. James’s “Fifty Shades of Grey,” a book about an inexperienced college student who falls in love with an older man who’s into sexual bondage. The book has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for 37 weeks and has sold 35 million copies in the U.S. alone.

The bonuses will be in the employees’ next paycheck.
