The legalization of marijuana in several states is prompting connoisseurs, investors, and entrepreneurs to savor the sweet opportunities in the edibles market.
Nearly 5 million marijuana-infused edibles were sold in Colorado alone, in 2013.
While you can find edibles in the form of candies, colas, coffee–you name it–it is not often that food lovers can experience an entire five course cannabis-infused meal, put together by one of the hottest chefs in New York, Miguel Trinidad, executive chef at Maharlika Filipino Moderno, Jeepney Filipino Gastropub, and partner Doug Cohen, founder of events company Stadium Status. The two have joined forces to create an exciting dining experience called 99th Floor.
BlackEnterprise.com caught up with the two at the Viridian Cannabis Investor Series at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
