As we continue to celebrate the accomplishments and innovations of the black race for Black History Month 2013 we go to Canada were they are also celebrating.

Canadian Simon T. Mach discusses the importance of Black History Month for all people of color.

He speaks on the many slaves that found salvation in Canada through the Underground Railorad, those that have joined by immigrants of West Indian descent adding different cultural backgrounds. The journeys may have been different but the legacy has still remained the same. Transcend the difference and understand that all can be proud of the accomplishments of those that came before to help us move forward towards a better life.
