Jay-Z Bids to Revamp Nassau Coliseum

Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum – located in Uniondale and home to the New York Islanders hockey team–has been around for more than 40 years, and while county officials have been in talks of renovating the $176 million edifice, teams are finally acting action.

As there are several companies who lobbied for the job, NBC New York reports that the bidding to revamp the coliseum is now down to four proposals including Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Mr. Carter attended a meeting Thursday to discuss the building’s renovation plans. Although he was seen taking pictures with Nassau County officials, Jay-Z did not speak during the meeting.

The renovation decisions are said to be made by this summer.
