Obama Administration Designing New Oval Office

The Obama Administration is renovating the West Wing of the White House, which includes the Oval Office, and the construction will necessitate the president moving into a replica Oval Office at the south end of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building until the two-year renovations are complete.

According to Real Clear Politics, the president’s temporary Oval Office will be a identical replica of the real one and will be ready for occupancy by August.

The Oval Office was added to the White House in 1909, and many repairs and much redecoration has occurred since then. Obama has said that he gets real work done in the Oval Office because it’s “surprisingly comfortable.”
