- President Obama Jokes on Donald Trump at White House Correspondents Dinner
It was clear the joke was on Donald Trump at the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner on Saturday. Before even stepping to the podium, Obama set the scene with a light-hearted, yet strong-message. The President walked out to ‘Real American,’ the theme song of wrestler Hulk Hogan, along with a video of his birth certificate against an American flag backdrop.
During his speech, Obama placed the spotlight on a grim-faced Trump.
“I know he’s taken some flack lately,” Obama said, “but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate issue to rest than Donald, and that’s because he can get back to the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”
