Richmond Chief of Police Resigns Amongst Chris Brown Scandal

LA County District Attorney alleges Brown violated probation

Richmond Virginia Chief of Police Bryan Norwood has resigned from his post.

Norwood, who signed off on Chris Brown’s community service, came to a mutual decision with the Mayor of Richmond’s office for his resignation.

According to reports, Norwood was involved with certifying Chris Brown’s community service hours which the LA County District Attorney claims were never performed. Dates that had been written down coincided with dates Brown was out of the country. Norwood also wrote letters on Brown’s behalf as well as removing his case from the Richmond Probation Department and handling it personally.
