Today, as the 2015 Wimbledon semi-finals come to a close, Serena Williams lost to Roberta Vinci of Italy 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the U.S. Open, which ended a calendar Grand Slam title. But for Serena, congratulations are still in order for an incredible pursuit to make history on the tennis courts.

Day 9 Women’s Semi-finals
Serena defeats her sister Venus to advance to semi-finals: 6—2, 1—6, 6—3.

Day 8 Men’s Semi-finals
Kevin Anderson won with a victory over Andy Murray with a 7—6(5), 6—3, 6—7(2), 7—6(0) win.

Day 7 Women’ s Semi-finals
Venus Williams defeated Anett Kontaveit in only 50 minutes, winning 6—2, 6—1 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Serena Williams defeated Madison Keys: 6—3, 6—3 in just 68 minutes.
