Interactive One, the leading urban digital media company behind the iconic African-American portal Blackplanet (www.blackplanet.com) today announced a partnership with Reach Media, the parent company for BlackAmericaWeb.com.

BlackAmericaWeb.com will move to the Interactive One platform where Reach Media will collaborate with Interactive One’s programming team and state-of-the-art technology. Reach will also work with Interactive One to expand its sales opportunities.

Interactive One has more than 15 million members and has become the definitive online resource for Black Americans and Latinos each month. Their collection of sites including NewsOne (www.NewsOne.com) which provides real-time coverage of newsworthy events targeted at Black Americans, The UrbanDaily (www.TheUrbanDaily.com) a lifestyle site for the urban audience, and ZonaDeSabor, (www.ZonaDeSabor.com) an entertainment news website targeting young, urban Latinos. These sites are just a few of their total portfolio which delivers approximately 3 billion annual page views.

Reach Media was founded in 2003 by David Kantor and leading syndicated urban radio host Tom Joyner. BlackAmericaWeb.com has more than 1.5 million registered users and is home to The Tom Joyner Morning Show as well as offline initiatives like the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion, The Foundation Fantastic Voyage Cruise and the Take a Loved One to the Dr. Day health initiative.
