Tupac Shakur’s Estate Signs Deal With Jampol Artist Management

The estate of Tupac Shakur has signed a deal with US firm, Jampol Artist Management.

The firm is best known for representing a number of deceased stars including Otis Redding, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson and others. Jampol will oversee licensing and other uses of the late rapper’s music and image on behalf of the estate, which is currently controlled by Afeni Shakur, the rapper’s mother.

“I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac’s entire body of work is made available for his fans,” said Shakur’s mother in a statement. “My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty.”

Jampol Artist Management said: “it’s our responsibility and are privilege to ensure that new generations of fan experience the power of Tupac’s music, his ideas and his storytelling.”

The firm plans to license Shakur’s likeness, music, name and film in various future projects.

Shakur’s mother, founder of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation which helps underprivileged children receive education and training, promises to release the late rapper’s “entire body of work.”
