You are eligible for the free J5300 if you purchase a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge within the promotion time between April 1, 2016, and April 30, 2016, and meet all other eligibility requirements.

In addition, those interested in the offer must complete an online form to redeem the offer within 60 days of purchasing the qualifying phone.

DirectTV provides satellite-based television and audio services. U-Verse is a service from AT&T that offers more than 500,000 On Demand TV shows, movies, sports, music videos and more.

Last year, AT&T completed a $49 billion acquisition of DirectTV. In a statement on AT&T’s website, the acquisition was to “meet consumers’ future entertainment preferences, whether they want traditional TV service with premier programming, their favorite content on a mobile device, or on-demand video streamed over the Internet to any screen.”

With the acquisition, AT&T boosted its TV service customer number to 26 million. Its U-verse TV service had far less of a customer base at only about 6 million subscribers as per a report from USA Today.

The FCC set several conditions for AT&T before approving the acquisition. One condition required the telecom giant to expand its fiber Internet connection to 12.5 million customers within the next four years.
