Tablets Better Than Books When It Comes to Older Eyes


Recent studies have shown the advantages of aging. In addition to getting wiser, elders are giving 20-somethings a run for their money when it comes to memory and visuals. A study released last week revealed that reading on tablets is easier for older eyes. (Regardless of your age, you read that correctly.)

Researchers at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany found that there was a large difference between readers ages 21 to 34 and those 60 to 77, with the latter demographic showing better reading results when it came to tablets. Using an iPad improved speed and reduced effort compared to paper and e-readers.
