Study Shows Twitter Growth for World Leaders

2013 brings an increase in the number of politicians on Twitter

In 2008 the would be president, Barack Obama, used a social media platform in his campaign, tapping into the younger generations need for accessibility. Since that time there has been considerable growth in the amount of world leaders that we find on social media.

Twitter has seen tremendous growth especially, with over 75% of the world leaders on Twitter.

According to a study conducted by Digital Daya, that number has more than doubled in the last two years.
