Harriette Cole, editorial director of Uptown magazine and an editor of American Legacy Woman magazine, has left both publications to join Ebony magazine as creative director. The primary reason cited for making the move from top editor to creative director is the rich history Ebony magazine represents and the breadth of its audience. “The thought of being involved with such a historic magazine and contributing to its continued success for the future is exciting for me,” says Cole. Cole’s handywork can be seen starting with the February cover and in the aesthetic evolution the magazine will undergo in the future.
