Joe Biden Campaign Releases Commercial Ads Featuring 14 Black Mayors


Former Vice President Joe Biden has released a series of ads that feature fourteen Black mayors from different states across the country. The purpose of the ads is to directly reach out to Black voters to make sure we are utilizing our collective power as voters for this upcoming presidential election according to Blog 4 President.

The first commercial ad titled, “Mayors” is a 60-second ad that has already started airing on television, radio, and digital outlets across the country with notable appearances by the following Black mayors: Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, Flagstaff, Arizona Mayor Coral Evans, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Birmingham, Alabama Mayor Randall Woodfin, Columbia, South Carolina Mayor Steven Benjamin, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Richmond, Virginia Mayor Levar Stoney, Stockton, California Mayor Michael Tubbs and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter.

There are two other commercial ads, “Black Mayors Women” and “Black Mayors Men” that are both 30-second ads that have already launched nationally and in key battleground states that Biden and Senator Kamala Harris are looking to capture. Those states are Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. This latest ad series is part of a robust campaign push nationally and in key battleground states to educate and energize Black voters.
