Whether you are a fashion rule follower or a rule breaker we can all agree now that Memorial Day has passed it’s officially OK to wear white again. Now more than ever the blank color is in demand and kicking off the season in style. Besides the normal fashion finds like sundresses and jeans; white heels have strutted onto the scene and are big part of fashion right now.
All of our favorite fashionistas from Kerry Washington and Zoe Saldana to Jennifer Hudson and Solange have been seen wearing them. Trust me when I tell you that white pumps are the new black right now. They add a fresh touch to your summer wardrobe with a crisp clean punctuation.
If you’re brave enough to try the white shoe trend, look for pointy toe pump to streamline your look or opt for an open toe heel that will contrast against your skin and those pedicured tootsies for a bright finish to your office style. Wear them just as you would any neutral shoe and don’t try to match the outfit to the shoe exactly. They’re the pop of color to your look.
If white heels aren’t your thing, that’s OK. As an alternative, try metallic heels which offer the same bright and polished look, minus the scuff marks and childhood memories. I love my white shoe alternative and wear them every chance I get, but what do you think? Will you try the white shoe trend for yourself?
