Though the jobless rate for minorities remains in crisis mode, numbers for women overall are fairing better than men (with a jobless rate of 5.9%, compared with 6.4%). Even for minority women, the numbers are more favorable.

Female workers still face less pay for equal work and other workplace challenges that can hinder success, but there is a silver lining in the form of Forbes recently released list of top-paying jobs for women. The publication reports that careers in business, tech, and healthcare continue to dominate the list, despite the fact that women in these fields are seeing a wage gap.
