It’s Time to Celebrate Black Men and their Excellence

Black men deserve their due. That is why we are celebrating the best of who they are at the 2nd Annual Black Men XCEL Summit from Aug. 29–Sept 2.There is no other national event out there tailored for professional black men that is as dynamic as Black Men XCEL and we’ll put money on that!

For the second year in a row, we will be linking up at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, presented by FedEx. Over the course of four days, we will host engaging sessions and timely conversations on corporate leadership, mental health and wellness, and the state of black men in professional sports.

It goes without saying that we are rooting for every black man who has changed the game from the boardroom to the pulpit and everything in between. Therefore, it’s only right that this year’s 2018 XCEL Award Honorees are Kenneth Chenault, chairman and managing director at General Catalyst; T.D. Jakes, bishop of Potter’s House Ministries and CEO of T.D. Jakes Enterprises L.L.P.; and the incomparable U.S. Olympic gold medalist Tommie Smith. We will also be celebrating our second class of BE Modern Men and all of their greatness.

If you were at the event last year you know that we party just as hard as we work on building our professional skills. Needless to say, Wyclef Jean, rapper, musician, and humanitarian; Chris Spencer; producer of Out Too Much Prods; comedians/entertainers Capone and Jonathan Slocomb; and Grammy Award-winner and producer DJ Nasty are going to bring down the house along with actor, educator, and musician Malik Yoba who will also be joining us. So, get ready for the ultimate turn up and for your stomach to hurt because that’s how hard you’ll be laughing! And the highly anticipated Mars Vs. Venus Challenge is going to be bigger and better. So ladies, come ready!

That’s not all we have in store for the ladies; you know we’ve got you covered too! We will be highlighting the accomplishments and discussing the million-dollar details of black women in entrepreneurship during the Love and Money session. When we aren’t on the links, we’ll be painting, sipping, getting suits tailored, working out, relaxing poolside, and so much more.

So, mark your calendars and secure your ticket for a good time!
